Newborn Photography FAQs

When is the best time to book a newborn photography session?

We recommend getting in contact with us during your pregnancy. We will take note of your expected due date and will re-arrange our schedule if you gave birth before or after the expected delivery date.

The baby is already born. Is it too late to schedule a newborn photography session?

No. Given the nature of childbirth ranges around the expected due date, there could be last-minute openings in our schedule. We would be glad to arrange a schedule for you.

What’s the best time to have newborn photography session and how long will the session last?

The ideal time is around 5-14 days after the birth of the child. Baby is sleepiest at this time and easier to photograph. The session will last for 2-3 hours or longer depending on the mood of the baby. It is ideal that the
baby is asleep.

Where will the photo session take place?

It can be done in our photography studio or from the comfort of your home.

Does the session include family photos?

Yes, we include the whole family in newborn photos unless you request otherwise. We usually photograph the baby with the parents and siblings.

Do you have photo props?

Yes, we have a selection of comfortable blankets, costumes, hats or headbands. Our baby props add extra flair to the photoshoot.

When are photographs expected after the session?

The photographs and portraits are available 2 weeks after the session. We will also provide a digital copy for you. All our images will be in color, but you may also request for a black and white copy free of charge.

Do you only photograph newborn babies?

No, we photograph babies of all ages. It’s ideal to have a newborn session follow up with 6 months and then at 1 year. We will capture all the baby milestones and create beautiful timelines for you.
